what I’ve been doing and photographing

Summer 2021

I did not update my website this summer, I had too much fun. Across June, July and August I shot more rolls of film than I can count on one hand. In Cornwall, Scotland, across the South East coastline. There was a lot of sun, sea, cycling, swimming, walking, football, loved ones and romance and to be honest I hope that these 16 photographs chosen almost at random will serve as enough of a memory jog for me in the future - that’s truly all my summaries are for.

favourite film: Jumbo, a film about a woman falling in love with a fairground ride

favourite books: The Seventh Man by John Berger and Jean Mohr, White is for Witching by Helen Oyemi, The Manningtree Witches by A.K. Blakemore

favourite TV: I watched three episodes of Love Island and then had to stop because I’m a busy and important woman and I could feel its call

favourite art: Lisa Brice in the beautiful setting of Charleston in Sussex

favourite theatre: Look At Me Don’t Look At Me, by favourites RashDash in one of my favourite portable spaces of the Paines Plough Roundabout

favourite podcast: The Log Books, for stories from an LGBT hotline
