what I’ve been doing and photographing

March 2021

A month of change and myriad joys. I finally replaced my camera and did a load of photoshoots I enjoyed and was proud of. I did some volunteering I loved, including a day of working with brilliant charities and communicators for International Women’s Day. I baked a lot of good stuff - including my mum’s birthday cake - and had a taste of the bachelor lifestyle with a weekend flat-sitting. I saw friends and Zoomed with family. A lot of administration went on behind the scenes which will come to fruition in a later month - and, as ever, a lot of walks.

favourite film: Finding Vivian Maier, a documentary about my no. 1 favourite photographer and strange woman

favourite television: The Bridge, of which I watched all 4 seasons and felt genuinely moved and gripped by. Also The Terror, which I watched in one day and was a huge mistake as it’s astonishing and haunting television.

favourite podcast: The Apology Line, a narrative podcast about something that starts as an art piece and ends somewhere else

favourite art: My friend Lily Grant’s paintings in her studio which were a joy to photograph
