what I’ve been doing and photographing

lizzy and esther

Last month I photographed an absolutely glorious explosion of joy of a wedding. Lizzy and Esther got married on the site of a music camp they’ve spent many happy years at, surrounded by their families and their friends and their community and their varied cultural traditions.

There was a bring-your-own dessert table and decore ranging from the brides’ trousers collection to quilts made by one of their parents. There was a Hora and a ceilidh and spoken word performances and multiple instances of whole-wedding singing. There was a DIY bridal gown competition and a wedding cat. It was the most fun wedding I have ever shot and that sort of event can only lead to a lifetime of shared love - both between the couple themselves and from those who surround them.

I’m so glad I got to be a part of it and here are some pictures from the day.
